Basics

The basics of writing is getting a pen and paper sitting down and putting thoughts on paper. For some, it's easy to do. For others, it's much harder.  Depends what you set out to accomplish.

For example, writing poetry for some is much easier than writing a book. Let's face it everyone can make words rhyme. But it goes deeper than that. Poetry isn't just about rhyming. Poetry is putting your dreams, fears, or feelings of any sort on paper. It doesn't have to rhyme to be poetry.

Now, writing a book can be more of a challenge. It consists of picking what sort of book you would like to write about. Whether it be Fiction, Non-fiction, or a Bio, you can always choose what interests you the most.

If your writing a paper for school. Includes Essays, Reports etc. Selecting a topic you are interested about is your main goal, unless of course the Topic isn't provided for you. If that's the case, studying up on the subject will enhance your writing abilities. Links here will help you.

Once you pick your Passion, whatever it may be. Find a quiet, peaceful place. Sit yourself down with a notebook and pen. Let your thoughts flow onto the paper. Writing an outline of what you choose to write about is much easier than writing jumbled thoughts. Opposite with poetry,  Just express your feelings, and actual feelings is hard to outline.
